The Dubai Airshow is held every two years, so there’s no show in 2026. The next edition runs 15–19 November 2027 at the Dubai Airshow site at DWC, next to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South. Get there by chauffeur to the drop-off zone, by car to the Park & Ride at Al Maktoum Airport, or by Red Line metro to Expo 2020 station and the free shuttle bus.

The Airshow is a trade event for aviation and defence professionals, and the site is a long way from Dubai’s main hotel districts. We plan exhibition and conference transport for visiting teams, and this guide sets out how the 2025 edition worked on the ground, which is the best guide to 2027 until the organiser publishes new arrangements.

When is the next Dubai Airshow?

The Dubai Airshow runs in November of odd-numbered years. The 2025 edition was 17–21 November 2025. The next is confirmed for 15–19 November 2027 at DWC, Dubai Airshow site.

2028No showNoneOff year; the edition after 2027 would fall in 2029 and hasn’t been announced

The site isn’t empty in the off year. The MEBAA Show, the business aviation show, runs 8–10 December 2026 at the same Dubai Airshow site; if you’re heading there for that, our MEBAA guide covers the same site.

For 2025, the organiser’s opening hours were 10:00–17:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with a late opening to 21:00 on Tuesday. The 2027 hours will be published nearer the show, so check them before you set pickup times. For everything else happening in Dubai that season, see our Dubai events calendar.

Who attends the Dubai Airshow?

The show is open to industry professionals only. Airlines, manufacturers, defence delegations, business aviation, suppliers and government visitors make up the crowd, and many arrive in teams with a packed meeting schedule across the chalets and halls. The organiser’s FAQ says under-18s aren’t admitted to the main exhibition halls and asks for business attire or national dress.

In 2025, members of the public could watch the flying displays through a separate SkyView ticket at a nominal fee. It’s a separate ticket from a trade badge and access arrangements can differ, so tell us which one you hold when you book.

How do you get to the Dubai Airshow: car, metro or chauffeur?

Here’s how the options compared at the 2025 show, based on the organiser’s FAQ and Gulf News’ visitor guide.

The metro and shuttle route

The Airshow FAQ says RTA buses ran from Expo metro station on a continuous loop to and from the Airshow site. That’s Expo 2020 station on the Red Line. In 2025, RTA ran the buses free from 17 to 21 November, 7am to 7pm, with a later finish on the Tuesday, according to Gulf News’ 2025 visitor guide. From Downtown, allow for the full metro ride plus the bus. It’s the cheapest option but not the fastest, and the return queue builds as soon as the halls close.

Driving and parking

Trade visitors couldn’t park at the show in 2025. The organiser’s FAQ said all visitors park at Al Maktoum Airport, where Park & Ride shuttles ran continuously to the Airshow site, and Gulf News put the shuttle hours at 7am to 7pm (9pm on the late Tuesday). Bays for people of determination were reserved, though a parking pass was still required. Exhibitors had their own onsite car park with loop shuttles to the halls. The free visitor car park at the venue, opening at 09:00, was for SkyView, the public flying-display area.

Drop-off and pickup at the Airshow site

This is the detail visiting teams most need to sort out in advance. In 2025, Gulf News reported designated drop-off and pick-up zones at the site for RTA taxis, e-hail cars and limousines, and access to the site was limited to official show hours. The 2027 vehicle rules haven’t been published, so here’s how we plan around the 2025 model:

  1. If your company exhibits, ask your event manager what vehicle access and parking passes your stand includes. Give us the details and we’ll assign the same car and chauffeur for the week so any pass stays valid.
  2. If you’re visiting on a trade badge, the car drops you at the limousine drop-off zone and leaves; it can’t park at the show. Your chauffeur holds nearby or at the Al Maktoum Airport Park & Ride and comes back when you call.
  3. If you host a chalet, check whether your chalet package includes vehicle access or parking before the show. It changes where your guests are dropped.
  4. For group arrivals, tell us the group size early. A van or a coach we arrange for the group needs the right access, and that’s confirmed with the organiser, not on the day.

Either way, we agree a named pickup point in the morning and the car is there before you walk out.

Traffic windows to avoid

The Airshow site shares its approach roads with Al Maktoum International Airport and Expo City. Our planning rules for show week:

  • Arrive before the gates, not at them. With the Park & Ride running from 7am and halls opening at 10:00 in 2025, the hour before opening is when arrivals peak. Aim to be dropped early.
  • Leave before 17:30 or well after. The mass exit at closing time loads the car parks, the shuttle queues and the approach roads at once.
  • Expect a heavier Tuesday evening. The 2025 show stayed open to 21:00 on the Tuesday, which meant a second, later exit wave.
  • Watch other shows at Expo City. Dubai Exhibition Centre is close by. If a big show runs there the same week, the Expo Road area gets busier.

Planning multi-day Airshow transport for a delegation

Teams staying in Dubai Marina, JLT, Palm Jumeirah or Downtown spend five days moving between hotel, show and evening dinners, and each leg to DWC is a long one.

  1. Lock the cars early. November is Dubai’s most crowded event month, so book cars when you book hotels.
  2. Match the car to the group. A business sedan carries up to three passengers; an SUV or V-Class carries six. Senior delegations may want matching first-class sedans; our luxury SUV chauffeur service suits teams who need space for samples and bags.
  3. Get any passes sorted before day one. Exhibitor vehicle and parking passes are arranged in advance through the organiser, not at the gate, so ask early.
  4. Plan arrivals through DWC. Delegates flying privately or on DWC flights land next door. Our guide to Al Maktoum Airport transfers covers the terminal side.
  5. Keep an evening plan. Airshow days often end with receptions or dinners in the city. Hourly hire keeps the car with you from show to dinner.

If your team is also at Expo City for another show, our guide on how to get to Expo City Dubai covers the metro station and car parks shared by both.

What time is the Dubai Airshow open?

In 2025 the show opened 10:00–17:30 on most days, with a late opening to 21:00 on the Tuesday. The 2027 dates are confirmed (15–19 November 2027) but the hours haven’t been published yet, so check the organiser’s site before you plan pickups.

How do I get to the Dubai Airshow by metro?

Take the Red Line to Expo 2020 station. In 2025, RTA ran free buses from the station on a continuous loop to the Airshow site and back. Allow extra time for the bus leg and for queues at closing time.

Is there a Dubai Airshow in 2028?

No. The Airshow runs in odd-numbered years, so after 15–19 November 2027 the next edition would be in 2029, and its dates haven’t been announced.
